My Iphone 3G won't turn on...

I have an Iphone 3G(old,I know :3)but this is the only phone I hv...It was a used phone,a friend gifted that to me cause he bought a new HTC...anyway I jailbroke it after I got it via REDSN0W.but any sim won't work and no wifi working...but I was using it as an Ipod anyway...after that I went on a 3 day trip by keeping the iphone at home after I didn't get a chance to charge it after I came home and try to on it,it didn't I got worried I ran to the charger once then I saw the apple logo come then it when away by keeping a blured apple logo on the screen..then I kept it charge for a while but it wasn't charging,then I switched off the charger and switched it on again then again the same thing happened...I want it fixed so badly cuz my mom won't buy me a phone even I she would Im sure it will never be an Iphone!! PLZZ!! HELLLPPP!!!

but I tried to charge it using the PC and another USB portable charger...still not working!!

Are you using the same cable ?? If u are using same cable when charging from pc or portable charger just know that your cable is brokn . To be more sure borrow another cable and use it . If it still doesnt wirk you can ask help frm an apple store .

but my cable works for an Iphone 4S which belongs to one of my friends!!
