PDA plan $130/mo.

iPhone plan $89/mo.

How I feel about the switch? PRICELESS!! :D

my bill is on a family plan but i have 1500txt msg and the iphone data but it was only $53.00 that was on just my phone... i thought it was suppose to be atleast 70 i dont get it lol

Some companys charge crazy amount for internet/data usage on their plans.
Glad my $h*t is unlimited :D

Happy with pricing..

I know people have complained alot about the plan pricing, but I previously had a crappy (free) Nokia phone from AT&T with no data or web access, and no text messaging (charged me) and paid $49.99 a month before taxes.

My wife had an LG phone through Verizion and she had a very similar plan to mine above and also paid $49.99 a month before taxes..

Well we both now own 8GB iPhones and we signed up for the family plan and pay $109 a month before taxes, and that includes 200 text messages a month, unlimited data/web usage (along with a host of other options like free mobile to mobile and free nights and weekends). Very happy with what that extra $9 is costing me :)

iPhone CHEAPER than Blackberry!

I have the $59.99 plan.
The comparable plan with Verizon=$79.99 --- a $20 difference!

What does $20 a month for 24 months ($480) buy you?

An iPhone!

Now add that extra $480 to the $148 to initially purchase the Blackberry ($628) and you'll see that, at the end of 2 years, the 8GB iPhone is actually $28 LESS than a Blackberry through Verizon.

Now, what was that well-hyped gripe in the media about the "expensive" iPhone?

LOL!

In all fairness, don't you mean $1218 + tax?
It's not like they give you the iPhone if you sign up for the $109 family plan...

im happy that at&t allowed unlimited internet with all their iphone plans. I was pretty surprised when i found this out. I was paying $80 a month with nextel and my phone did not support internet at all. Now that i switched over to at&t i find that im getting better coverage as well.

The $20 unlimited data plans sure beats the $9.99 limited media net plan I had with Cingular before I got my iPhone :D

Not too bad. We are paying around the same from your PDA plan. That includes 2 iPhones, 2 regular Nokia phones (for Parents) and 1 RAZR with Texting all on a Family Shared plan of 700 mins with rollover. We have yet to go over those minutes.

This is not factoring the activation fees since one of the iPhones didn't activate until 2 days later. They waived the fees for both. I'm not complain' here. :)

True, but we were both considering Smartphones and were both due to get new iPods, so I probably would have spend $1200 anyway.
