My iPhone does not auto iTunes wifi sync. How do I fix this?
-I plugged it into power
-Made sure it is on the same wifi network as my iTunes computer
-Made sure iTunes preferences did not prevent wifi syncing

What do you mean auto? You have to invoke the command for it to sync. Once you run a full sync via cable, you will see an option for wifi sync in iTunes under iPhone. Once this is checked, even if you disconnect your iPhone from the cable, the iPhone should still show up in the left pane. Here, you can click on the iPhone and then click on Sync and it will begin to sync. Well, it will first look for your iPhone and then sync.

The phone doesn't even have to be connected to power to sync over wifi. As stated above, just make sure the Sync over WiFi option is checked in iTunes.

Yes, but the OP is asking about auto-syncing.

The Apple literature says that when you plug your device into power/charger and the screen is turned off, it'll automagically sync to the iTunes Mac on the same wi-fi network.

I'm still confused, as I, too, am having trouble getting it to auto-sync.

You have to have wifi syncing enabled on the summary screen in iTunes. You ALSO have to have the option to open iTunes when connected enabled. I had the same problem. Works 100% when both of those options are enabled on the summary screen of your device in iTunes.

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that option. I'll try this. Thanks!

This x1000. I think we need a sticky for a good step by step thread for iTunes Wi-Fi syncing.
