My iPhone has better wifi signal?

What ive noticed is that if I use my iPad upstairs in my room the wifi signal is low and browsing is slow. Sometimes it disconnects. My iPhone has low signal upstairs too but browsing is faster on the iPhone as I just did a test.

Do I have the dreaded wifi issue? I really hope not as my iPad is imported from the US and I bought it from a company selling them over here ( ipads not released yet here in my country )

My iPhone4 has better wifi than my iPad. Don't really know why

iPad has a metal body so what do you expect? Of course the iPhone would have better signal. I bet the iPod touch is worse though.
