The software on my iphone4 was wiped after updating on itunes.

When turned on it shows the 'connect to itunes' screen.
When connecting to itunes, the phone canges to 'connected to itunes' but itunes cannot connect to the phone.

I have done the step by step software restore in DFU mode.
Everything happens as it should - according to itunes the phone is restored and rebooting.
After rebooting, itunes gives the following message when connecting to the phone:
We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time.
