I sold my BlackBerry yesterday, placed my order for an iPhone today. Paid for overnight shipping, so it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

I've never been this excited to receive a cell phone before. Am I a complete dork?

Some of us waited more than half the day the first day the iPhone was released.

So probaly not.

But you're going to have a fun time with your new iPhone, i can say that.

I exported all of my contacts and calender stuff to Outlook in preparation to sync. I have the latest iTunes. Anything else I should do to prepare for my new favorite toy?

Make sure you have all the artwork for your iTunes as they are what make cover flow so nice and collect you friends and contacts headshots for the contact list. Also I have been collecting wallpapers that I change every day.
Have Fun!

So after half a day, I am LOVING my iPhone. All the stuff that led me to buy it is great. The stuff I wasn't so sure about is turning out to be not a very big deal. I'm getting more and more used to the keyboard. I finally figured out the correct settings for email (STOP...DOWNLOADING...EVERYTHING!!) However, there is one thing that I cannot believe they didn't have set up upon release:

Mass deletion of emails.

One at a time? And then I have to do it again to get it out of my trash? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That's insane and there is no good reason for it. If you get a ton of emails a day, I can't even imagine the hassle.

yea i have no idea why there is no mass deletion feature. Their logic is beyond me.

yea that gets kinda annoying after a while... I love getting like 40 new e-mails, pulling the phone out my pocket, and seeing the 40 above the mail icon... haha..
