Last night I was listening to a podcast through my external speaker and all of the sudden there was a lot of interference and then the audio cut out. I tried playing a new song, nothing happened. I turned the phone off then on and still nothing. No music, keyboard clicks, locking sound, nothing. Then today I tried to make a phone call and I can't hear anything through the speaker on the top of the phone.

I'm taking it to the apple store tomm and don't have any experience with them. Is this covered in the 1 year warranty? Do you all think I'll get a new phone?

Colchester, UK.
Probably just got some fluff down your headphone socket, causing it to think you have still got your headphones in- give it a suck out and all should be good. Has happened to me three or four times now!

I tried that and still nothing. I looked in to it and I can't see anything that has gotten stuck. But I dont think that would be the probably because of the loud crackling interference I heard right before the audio cut out.

just restored it and still broken. I believe without a doubt, this is a hardware issue.

yeah, I made sure there wasn't any water damage and everything is white so I am pretty sure it gonna get replaced or repaired
