my iphone speaker wont play any music except though my headphones

i downloaded some songs on my iphone and now my iphone says that my headphones are plugged in but they are not. i can play songs through my headphone but my speaker wont work. it was just working fine before i downloaded them songs but not now. i even tried to plug and unplugs my headphones in about 5 - 7 times but nothing happened. omeone please help me!

Hi mate,

The same thing happened to me, but does the phone still make the system sounds like the locking and unlocking sound, key pad sounds?

If not the quick cure is to get a cotton bud and put some liquid cleaning agent on it ( i used surgical spirit ) but dont put too much on, then place the cotton bud down the earphone socket and give it a good clean. Then turn off and on iphone and check if it is fixed.
