i'm running a 3.0 jailbroken 3GS. this problem just started happening. i can take a pic and the little pic shows up in the thumbnail on the bottom left. then when i go into photos, there are NO photos displayed.

can some kind soul please help me? i searched this topic and i didn't find any solution. thank you. :(

Your photos database is probably corrupted.

As you are jailbroken, SSH into the phone, find the photos database, back it up on your computer, then delete it. Restart your phone. That may fix it.

Pics or it didn't happen!!! :p (I just had to!)

Are there any images in the /var/mobile/Media/DCIM/XXXAPPLE/ folder? XXX is really some 3 digit number.

Are you using Video Mover or anything that is supposed to do something to your camera?

I had this problem too. Something to do with permissions being screwed up. BTW, this is not a jailbreaking issue--go to Apple's forums and you'll see that lots of people have this problem. Re-jailbreaking won't fix it. Anyway...to fix it, you need to use terminal on your iPhone. In terminal, enter the following (each on its own line):

su root

Password: alpine

cd /var/mobile/Media

chown -R mobile DCIM
