I have an odd issue. My 6, updated to iOS 11.0.3, won't back up to either iCloud or iTunes. When I try backing up to iCloud, I'm on Wi-Fi and plugged in power. It gives me a message saying the backup could not be complete, but does not explain why. My iCloud has plenty of storage left (way exceeding the required backup space), so that's not the issue.

Also, when I connect to iTunes (the latest version, on my laptop that has plenty of space), it also fails. Clicking Back Up Now just results in a quick graying out of the icon, like it's about to backup, but then it stops, without any error message, and does not back up.

So weird. My friend tested his iPhone on our Wi-Fi network to rule out any Wi-Fi issues, and his iPhone backed up to iCloud without an issue.

Hope you can help!

You don't mention, but have you powered off and then restarted the phone?

In iTunes, you can choose to start with a new backup as well. It can preserve old backups if you have them.

This might be no help to you but I had a similar problem. I had to delete my iCloud backup, then start an iCloud backup.
That seemed to fix things but I don’t know why.
I tried deleting the previous iPhone iCloud backup then re-backing up, but no go.

Already restarted/reset (power button + home button). No go.

Any other ideas? :(
