My iPhone won't talk to EDGE this afternoon - suggestions?

Hi all - when I left the wi-fi bubble at my business this afternoon, my iPhone just won't communicate via EDGE - mail, safari, stocks, weather, google maps all just show 'connecting', with the little circle of bars going round and round.

It's been more than an hour now, and it just won't connect via edge. I've powered entirely down a couple times.

I'm back in the office, and it's connecting via wi-fi just fine.

Five bars, and the E symbol have been present the entire time...

I'm in Mill Creek, just north of Seattle, and it's an area where AT&T has excellent coverage.
