So i have an X which is on the Verizon network. I'm getting my XS max tomorrow. My understanding is all VZ iPhones are unlocked out the box. So i should be safe to sell it as unlocked right ?

I'm also switching my wife's out to a Max. With regards to her X, again originally on the VZ network, this iPhone had to be replaced at an Apple store under warranty, so this wasn't a device from VZ but from an Apple store. Safe to sell as an unlocked X ?

Just want to make sure i list correctly.

Thanks in advance.

Yes it is and the device must be paid off before you sell it if it was on device payments.
