My iPod Nano was STOLEN ! what to replace it with ?

As the title says some thieving gypsy stole my Nano whilst i was at work today.

So i am feeling bitter and lost without my Nano - But what do i get instead ?

options are

Nano - again 4gb (black)
iPod with Video - 30gb (white)
or should i wait for a while untill apple upgrades them again in January and just get a iPod Shuffle 1gb for the time being?

i was just luck today that i left my Powerbook at home or they would of had that as well i bet

any ideas?

see if your credit card will cover it.
Sometimes, they have little 30-day warranties (for lack of a better word) that act like insurance.

And get your serial number and give it to the cops. They'll give it to all the pawn shops (if they try to sell it) and the pawn shop will know that it's stolen.

Do you think it was a co-worker? See if you can work the inside gossip lines to find the bragging individual. The bosses shouldn't tolerate theft in the workplace, either.

I work at Circuit City, and my 4g 20 gig is always in my back pocket. I usually use it for demo'ing products, but still...if a co-worker tried to thieve my iPod, there would be hell to pay.

Do you have any sort of camera system? That's how we catch tons of internal theft.

Social correction: If you printed "some thieving (insert any other ethnic group- lets say Jew) stole my Nano whilst i was at work today." - people would be all over you. There are non theiving Gypsies, Scotts, Native Americans etc (insert what ever "race" you want)... It's a racial slur and I know you didn't know it was. Just live with the lesson rather than debating it.
A theiving pirate- well that's ok, because we all know theiving priates are cool!

As for what to replace it with. Thougn and cheek- I would replace it with a really viscious rabid stote. Realisticly I would get a Shuffle until you can afford a new nano. I justify my Shuffle at work by using it as a transfer drive. I would also post something at you work, like ,"Lost Nano"
