my itunes detect my phone as a new iphone

hello everyone

guys I just synced my iphone to the same itunes last week and now when i tried to sync it again it tells that "set up as new iphone". and also i can't restore it from my backup. their's something wrong with my firmware. im using itunes 9.0.3.15. and i have 2g iphone 8gb. hope you guys could help me with this one.
