Users on my network complain that my music rarely connects or when it does it streams or buffers almost constantly and a full track cannot be played. No other users on the network seem to have this problem.

All other users are using the PC version of iTunes and I seem to be the only one with an Apple system.

I'm sharing my library off a Powermac G5 1.6ghz that seems to run pretty quick to me. I'm also connected to the network via aiport extreme card.

Any solutions?

whats your airport reception like? it's probably something related to that

or do you have a firewall up or anything?

is the network .11b or .11g? if it is b then that is where the slow down is. i have had trouble streaming on b networks but in my apt i have g and my roommates (on windows) can stream my music fine. also, how close are you to the router, as in do you get good signal strength? if your network is all g and everyone has a good signal (or wired connection) then make sure you all have the most up to date version of iTunes. other than that i havent seen problems so i dont know.

airport reception seems to be fine, no firewall set up.

im using an .11g card and i believe the network is backwards compatible .11g network.

bizarre, everyone else seems to be using .11b and they can stream flawlessly.

I have this same problem with 802.11g. They are both 6.0.1(3). Neither of them are under a hard load. The network is chugging out at 2% when the music is playing. WHich isn't often since it stops to rebuffer so often. HELP!!!
