After OS software upgrade last week my magic mouse went from 49% back up to 80% and my keyboard went from 68% back up to 100% battery life. The mouse has dropped back to 58% after week of usage but I lost connection before it dropped down.My keyboard remains at 100%. Can anyone explain this glitch?

While not on a iMac, I have noticed this with my MacBook Pro and use with a magic mouse.

The Bluetooth menu and other OS X elements show 100% charge, but using iStat Pro, shows 72%.

So one or the other is lying...

I have the same problem too. Last night, I noticed that the battery level on my magic mouse was 100%, even though I haven't changed them for months, and it was at around 40% before upgrading to 10.6.7. Then right before I went to bed, I got a pop up saying that the battery level is low (7%). So, in a matter of a few hours, the battery level in my magic mouse went from 100%, down to 7%.

I also noticed that my apple bluetooth keyboard battery level is at 100%. Even though, a few weeks ago it was around 60%.

Now, I have to make sure I keep an extra pair of batteries until apple releases a fix.

Yes, very strange. Replaced the batteries in my Magic Mouse with newly charged ones three days ago. They are registering at 100%! The keyboard is 75% - original batteries, 5 months use!

Yep same here, keyboard 100% Wow magic batteries :)

Unfortunately apple are too busy dealing with the 0.2mm white iphone conspiracy to do anything about it!
