Hello people my intel iMac (white) will not boot when i press the power button the led says on and the fans run at maximum until i force the iMac to turn off i have tried resetting the smc/smu pram nvram etc... Can anybody help? Also i have changed ram and still no luck thanks. Also I'm not getting any ding noise like when my macbook starts. Im not too sure why this is happening also i have opened up this iMac and checked all cables also tried to disconnect the lcd inverter cable and main cable and still no luck I'm not too sure what to do this is a project iMac and is not my main machine but i would not like to pay the genius bar to fix an obsolete machine
