My latest calligraphy job.

Actually it's my only calligraphy job. I was given four small scans of type and I cut the bits I wanted out. First I tried tracing it directly in Illy but the type was too small and it didn't look very good. So then I redrew it in Painter based on the handwritten type then traced it in Illy.

It won't be used like this, it will eventually be made to look like actual type and overlaid on a photo in the end. But I just thought I'd put it up here 'cause I'm pretty pleased with it.

Nice job. Can you smooth out the linker between the "e" and "s" in wilderness? It jars a bit, for me.

Yes, I think you're right about that. Added a new final 's' as well.

I don't know who's writing it is but it's from the turn of the century, here's one of the pages, pretty impressive if you ask me.

New version, client rejected the S's wanted a more traditional look. I'm not too fond of those fat S's myself.
