Nice set up.

I don't use a desk but mainly have it on my lap a lot of the time so go between Bridge and ASK as like them both.

Haven't found a way yet to store the Apple Pencil and have quick access to it yet though. If I put it on top of the IPP it is okay but when travelling don't then use it as much as have had to put it somewhere.

Haven't really used a mouse much as would only use it in a set up like yours. I will however, look to probably get a different mouse to the Citrix 1 I have as don't like that one much.

The Logitech keyboard has been a favorite choice for awhile for externals on the iPad. That or the Magic keyboard. I've learned though that if you have multiple devices ( I still have a 1st iPP ), the Logitech is very handy.

I bought a generic Jetech bluetooth keyboard but its really laggy on my ipad pro with the latest beta. Same keyboard is ok on my iphone so I hope its just a temporary beta issue?

Liking mouse though - used this morning to put together a word doc and its much nicer than using a finger when you need to select text

It’s odd seeing the amount of set ups with mouse as part of the iPad.

I highly doubt I’ll end up going that route of adding mouse support, been a iPad user since the iPad 2.... I’m kind of use to navigating through touch or via keyboard shortcuts.

To those using mouse with the iPad... I’m just curious why? Is it the newness factor of it?

I believe it has to do with very reason why Macs don't have a touch screen. Wasn't it Steve Jobs who thought it would be tiring touching a screen up, like a monitor or laptop screen? The mouse relieves that problem. It's when the iPad is positioned up that you normally see a mouse in use. When the iPad is resting on a surface or in hand like a tablet, you rarely if ever see a mouse in use.

Adding mouse support just added another convenience.

Tiring? But it's not much to copy or select some context and paste it somewhere via touch. Apple has alleviate some of those issues with keyboard shortcuts... combining with Drag & Drop support, having a mouse seems awkward when it comes to using it with the iPad.

Now, that's just my opinion and I do understand people have their preference. Perhaps, I shouldn't knock it before I try it myself. But if Apple incorporated touch with macOS, I will favor mouse... due to how the OS is designed for it.

Thanks for the post. I’m wondering if any Bluetooth keyboard manufacturer will add a built-in compatible trackpad that fully supports iOS 13? Better yet what about a keyboard folio with a trackpad?

I have not used iOS 13 beta yet, so I have no idea if I’d like mouse or trackpad support.

If using on your lap I agree. But if you have the ipad propped up on a stand while typing with a BT keyboard, then selecting with touch is a PITA. Even pencil isn't great in this setup. Using a BT mouse feels great on ipad and makes selecting text quick and accurate (while not obscuring the text with your finger), and just works really well with the pointing device to the side of your keyboard where your fingers are naturally resting

Nice set up! I plan on buying a K380 keyboard. Perfect size, shape, weight etc and can withstand backpack travel!
