I woke up this morning to see that my Mac had updated its OS and had apparently created a "Temporary account" with admin privileges. I've deleted the account.

Anyone know anything about this?

What was the name of the account?

It was called "Temporary account".

I think I've solved the mystery. I set it up a few months ago. But I deleted it shortly afterwards. Somehow it came back to life when the OS updated itself.

It's a good idea to keep a secondary account for troubleshooting. That reminds me that I need to set one up again!
