yay! new macbook! i transferred all my music over my wireless network, not sure if it's the fastest, you could probably use your iPod (if you have one).

as for your file accessing question if you create your windows partition using FAT32 you can save stuff to it while using OSX and then it'll be there on the windows side. It doesnt work the other way around though, as in you can still see all your stuff on both sides while using OSX but you cant view your OSX files while in windows, does that make sense?

Copy your iTunes Music, and iTunes library files to your iPod then drag the Music files from your iPod to your Macbook (be sure you drag them into iTunes and not just onto your hard drive). If you don't care about your playlists and play counts then don't worry about the iTunes library file cause it can be kind of a pain (for me it was at least). But if you do want it I think you just close iTunes and then drag that file from your iPod over to the iTunes folder in finder and then re-open iTunes and they should all work.

Note: If you copy the data file you might have to manually show iTunes where a lot of the songs in your library are. That's what I had to do and it wasn't very fun although it did give me a chance to weed out all the crap I don't listen to.

Finally, enjoy your Mac. I've had my Macbook for 2 weeks now and I love it.
