Whenever I try to export videos from iMovie09' using quicktime it gives me a message saying "There is not enough room in the keep zone" even though the computer is brand new. Being a usual iMac user, I also do not know how to see how much memory there is on the computer, since the Macintosh HD drive does not come up on the desk top. Any help concerning how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated :)

Finder > Preferences > General > Show these items on the Desktop

Or change to Finder via CMD+TAB or clicking on the Desktop or the Finder icon on the Dock an look at the status bar of any Finder window to see how much free space you have on your internal HDD, if the window depicts a folder on that HDD. If the status bar is not visible, go to Finder > Menu Bar > View > Show Status Bar.
