My MacBook Air 13, noisy fan, I've tried every reset.....

I have Early 2015 MacBook Air 13
macOS Seirra 10.12.6
Processor: 1.6 GHz Itel Core i5
4GB if Memore 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 60000 1536MB

I've done every known reset out there to fix this fan noise issue and my system app functions slows down too. I've tried the following.
1. SMC reset
2. Zap PRAM
It will quiet the fan initially but you can hear it increase to full speed shortly after I reboot my MacBook.

I sure don't want to take to Apple and spend a grand to get it fixed. That's what I've been quoted. I've exhausted Activity Monitor to see what has been eating up my memory to cause this overheating. There is nothing significant eating up memory.

My next step is to uninstall Flash in Safari. Hopefully that will fix this. If there is anyone with suggestions please advise. That fan is driving me crazy!

Yea, unfortunately, I tried that too. No fix there either. Frustrated to get my MacBook looked at to fix this by Apple, out of warranty, they quote me 1k of to fix. Obviously, I'm motivated to correct this myself. The search continues.
. Seems there is no one fix that address this issue and many have it. My daughter has same issue on my same MackBook Air 13 Early 2015 model. Sigh!

Cat hair on a few of the fan blades can make for a noisy fan.
Doesn't look like much fun to get to though. (see step 3, top right)
Canned air, or a soft bristle brush might fix your trouble.

If Apple quoted you $1K to repair your 2015 MacBook Air, then you have more than just a noisy fan. It sounds like you had a spill and they're quoting you the cost to replace the logic board. ???

Is it more than noisy fan? When I had this the cursor would move by itself and the whole laptop was incredibly slow. For me resetting the smc would fix for a day or so then it would reappear. Then I had problems with the HD and Apple replaced it and it hasn't happened since (probably jinxed myself here). Have you tried booting into recovery / maintenance mode (command-R) and tried disk repair? Just guessing but before I spent 1K I'd buy a new one.

No spills on my MacBookAir, nope but am very appreciative for the help. I can tell you I have been quoted that by apple at the apple store. That is fact. I did open up the case and there was an accumulation of dust. blew it out but not with a compressed air can. I'm going to execute that next to see if that resolves the issue. At least i got some new options to explore and thankful for the suggestions.

Dang, thought there would be at least more options to my fan noise. Also, the computer really lags slowly with typing text at times too. Originally, thought this was related to memory. If so is there a way to look in library files t delete. This is driving me crazy. I was thinking I could add memory but I don't think you can upgrade late 2015 MBA memory and yes I have tried the SMC reset. No, go there.

I did open up my MBA and there was lots of dust. So I will get can of compressed air and try that. After that, I hate the thought of retiring this less than three-year-old MBA, purchased new.
