Is it cool for me to have the power plug in all the time (im on break from college so i dont need to take it anywhere) even when it is shut off? Is this bad for hte battery?

It's fine. Just be sure to calibrate your battery every month or two. That's about the only thing you need to do to keep it top form...everything else is managed automatically.

I was about to ask this question but I remember reading it on another thread...good to hear that its alright to leave it plugged in. I just have to remember to calibrate it every month.

yes, i too read somewhere that the rule of thumb is that if possible, you should alway plug in the power cord. I guess my question was whether or not this was necessary/beneficial when the computer was shut off.
