Hi guys,

So I ahven't used the optical drive in my MBP since I installed FileMaker a while back... So not sure how long this issue has been for so...

I got like 12 new CDs today (well...borrowed them off a mate) so I went to rip them to iTunes and my sexy pink iPod and guess what? Stick the disk in, it clicks and whirs for a while, then ***** it back out. I thought it was the disk, but I tried it with like all 12 of these plus like 30 of my own music CDs and it does the same with all. Now I haven't tried it with a data CD but I will tomorrow. But any reason why this should be?

Thanks

This happened on my old MBP ALL THE TIME. DVDs, CDs, game DVDs...it would take 5-10 tries to get the things to stay in the drive if at all. Haven't used the drive much on my replacement but it seem to be working just fine...all I can say is take it in.

Something doesn't sound right with your drive, I'd have it looked at!
