I just noticed while my MBA was displaying a black background with the login dialog that a pixel in the lower left quadrant of the display was bright green when it should have been black.
Also, it occasionally flickers green and black. It's only noticeable when that area is a dark color.
Are there any remedies for this? I recall that some people have had luck with playing movie files for several hours that have quickly flashing colors in them or applying pressure to that pixel.
I'm also assuming that Apple, like everyone else, has an escape clause in their warrantee that precludes replacement for bad pixels when the number of them is below some threshold.
