My MBP displays windows too far to the right;

Every time I open a window(Safari, Mail, iTunes, etc.) it opens the window about an inch to the right(the red/yellow/green buttons are under "Safari" instead of the Apple logo. Its pretty annoying to keep moving it to the left every time I open a app.

How do i fix this?

Doesn't it remember your window preferences if you move it/resize it? At least for resizing it does. I resized mine to take up all my horizontal space.

It remembers the size of my window, it just displays it an inch to the right.

Is your dock on the left side and hidden? Try putting it at the bottom. I just tried it and it shifted the position one inch to the right (so it doesn't remember placement, just size)

yeah your completely correct(about the dock being on the left side and hidden). it makes a difference when its on the bottom?

Looks like it. Try it and see for yourself , the window should open in the top left hand corner if the dock's on the bottom.

woah. it worked.
i don't like it on the bottom though... my stupid OCD. aha
