Im sure this is normal, but I just ran my hand across my 14" MBP and it feels different compared to when its not charging.
Hard to describe but my hand stutters as I slide it across the closed lid, but this doesn't happen when its unplugged.

Very strange or normal?

Ah thanks. I’m in a caravan at the moment so maybe that’s why. I’ve not noticed it before, at home.
I’ve done a bit of searching and it seems like it normal under certain situations, as you pointed out.

Wow I have never heard of this/noticed it before. Now that it has been mentioned I literally just tried it both ways and I feel it on the lid. So weird but interesting. I have been using Macs for years lol. I notice it on 110V and the house was built in 2017. Can't imagine how much more noticeable it must be at 220V.

Also facing this from time to time.

Slightly wet your finger and swipe very easily over the edge.

If nothing harmful then you can go on. Otherwise, stop using because of high overvoltage/instability/possible static charge (can be from the power cord/ or outlet either)

And don't touch cables/charges with wet hands (even if they're isolated/protected)

I notice this when using the two prong power cable, however when using the three prong (with earth/ground) the issue goes away. You can maybe try the same

In recent times MR appears to group topics together, so dropping a link to the other thread in.

I do actually recall this thread here talking about the grounding (earth) pin.

Thats not really an option for me but that does seem like the fix for those who cant fix it any other way. Im home now and it’s all good here so I’ll put it down to the one location which i wont be going back to.
