Hey everyone. I had a MBP 2.2Ghz model, had so many problems connecting to the internet with it - even with an ethernet cable, we tried many times to figure what was wrong with it, called Apple 3 times, 3 (THREE) different routers!!! The store we purchased it from - who know us very well and did their best to help us, no matter what it would only work for about 2-3 minutes then cut out, dead, nothing. So, after awhile I had had enough
, I thought that I should get an iMac, since I really don't need a laptop at all, I loved the iMacs, I liked it when I saw it, played around with one, so the guys at the store let us return saying it was defective. Anyway, after all that bull**** I went home with a brand new 20" iMac! Specs are in my signature.
PS: It was bought last weekend, I went to the US for spring break with my family so I couldn't write this sooner, while I was down there I also went to an Apple store for the first time!
, It was a cool looking store, packed with people, it was like Christmas in there! (The store was in the King of Prussia mall to be exact)
Now, onto the iMac:
Well well well, what can I say? I absolutely love the iMac! I just can't express how much I love this machine! It is simply amazing! The screen is gorgeous! It is the best computer screen I have seen. Period. It is super fast. The glossy screen doesn't bother me at all. It is so sleek, to have the computer all in one like this, its engineering at its finest. It doesn't take up to much room at all. It is just so thin. The aluminum keyboard included takes some time to get used to. The mighty mouse is awesome it just isn't very ergonomic to use. I use a Microsoft comfort mouse most of the time. Apple remote with Front Row is cool too. Built in iSight is fun. Built in speakers are among the best I have heard from built-ins. I have a separate speaker setup though. The standard 320GB Hard Drive is very nice, I like to have lots of storage. It doesn't heat that much, unless of course CPU heavy apps are running.
There's only one thing I dislike:
- Ports on the rear of the computer, hassle to turn it around to plug in or unplug something. Not very fun. It would look silly to have the ports elsewhere though.
All in all the iMac is the best computer I have ever had, it is simply amazing. I have Office for Mac 2008 installed, and I am going to be installing Windows Vista or XP (haven't decided) on it as well.
So that is my story/iMac Review.
