An Apple support chat later and I determined that my mid 2017 27” iMac has mysteriously kicked the bucket. I tried all of their troubleshooting including resetting the SMC and trying different cables and plugging it to different power circuits in my house. I’m putting this up for myself and to see if anyone out there has had this similar problem or hopefully has advice.
I bought this iMac to replace my perfectly working 2012 model. The 2012 iMac was used heavily even survived a house move and it never had a hiccup. I have a Genius Bar appointment setup for next Saturday but I’m dreading getting that out of warranty repair estimate. If anyone has any advice on what else I can try, please feel free to share.
