Hi,
Mi first post, a lot of time as a reader.
I'm a switcher, i buyed recently for my home an Imac 24 ", perfect, and a mac mini as media center (perfect).
I want to change my sony vaio tz 11" with the new mba. I use the vaio at bed, to watch video, and for an application that see the security cameras in my house, i use a bluetooth sony br-50 for no disturb my wife.

Differences between vaio and mba
-------- vaio ---- mba
noise --- nothing --- after de 10 min 6200 rpm (noisy)
battery --- 4 hours --- 1,40-2 hour watching video
kernel panic --- NEVER --- 1-2 time every night (parallels issue)
bluetooth a2dp --- 100% --- impossible, it's stop every 3-4 seconds
heat ---normal,60celsius--- 70 celsius
processor --- 1,2 ghz(1 core) ---1,6 core2duo

I've made a mistake, the vaio works better for my use, the mba, has a lot of stupid things, the extreme sensitive light detector for the screen, the keyboard illumination that doesn't work (works in reverse).

The thing that i can't understand is why with more processor (1,6 core 2 duo versus 1,2 core solo) needs around 30% of the 2 cpu to see the last chapter of lost... i'm lost.

Now my last test will be install windows xp in bootcamp, to see if the problem of the heat, noise, bluetooth dissapear...

Be careful to decide to buy the mba, it's pretty, yes, it's apple, yes.. but have too many limitations and problems.

Don't forget another important thing you can do with your superior Vaio, maybe you can use it to learn the English language. Lol at "i buyed recently for my home an Imac 24".

That's rude. This forum is for people all over the world, many of whom are not native English speakers. I don't know you, but I'd like to see you speak/write in the OP's mother tongue, whatever that may be.

My Vaio TX has been replaced by my new MBA. Love its bigger 13" screen, full-size keyboard and Mac OS X Leopard ;)

What PDE said. Besides that, I've seen a surprising number of people with these VAIOs at school. My sister has one too. They're small, but they seem to work; they remind me of the EEpcs, except they're slightly larger and far more capable. In the end, if one works for you better than the MBA, go for it.
