Well, in my art class I used a canvas board to replicate the famous Picasso Mac image. I was going to do the original one, but decide to freshen it up a bit with a new iMac, which I believe best serves the spot of the original 128.

Looks nice, the magic mouse however does not have a cable. But that counts as artistic freedom.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I recently found this piece in my closet, which I'd forgotten about, and I was wondering how hard it would be to digitize it, or of someone could do it for me. After all, I'm assuming the original was hand drawn as well and then redone digitally.

Thanks!

You could try to simply scan it, or photograph it and then trace it with Illustrator. I'd love a digital version.

I tried scanning it... the canvas creates awful effects on the finished scan.

I think tracing it is what I was thinking of... now if I could teach myself to use the copy of Illustrator I have.

You can use the pen tool instead of tracing, and then use the pathfinder to to get the required white cut-out areas.

I still know Illustrator quite well and could do that. In photoshop, you could probably use the levels tool to tweak your scanned image into something looking more solid, and use the replace colour on the canvas coloured sections to make them look solid white (depending on how the canvas looks when scanned).

The only thing I would change is the outline of the iMac and the yellow outline of the screen. I think they're both too full compared to the original one's take.

But regardless, it's cool.

What I have is a plain picture of it... what I need is someone to smooth it out and have it look like the original image as opposed to the textured finish of the canvas. The file is 5.8MB though, so I can't host it through photobucket or here in it's full quality. I need to email sit to someone who can work on it.

This is it, though!
