I'm not sure if it's an update or my recent move to a brand new iMac (I love it:) but I had a G5 happily streaming to my ATV my collection of 174 movies and they all came up under "My Movies" working flawless, I transfered everything to my new iMac and had to re-sync the ATV now there is a new "Shared movies " I can't remember seeing before and if I select this I get the old spinning wheel thing for ages as it syncs.
WTF both are on Ethernet and never had net problems before, is another backwards Apple update or is this something to do with the iMac?

Appreciate any help with this, want it back as it was...I have yet to try Boxee, maybe now is the time. I love the ATV though so cool, they could so much with an update to this box.

BTW I updated Handbrake recently and have been investigating using it better, so just trying the old Fairmount then Handbrake method as I was getting jumping on a few direct from DVD rips.
So I have been updating Handbrake but one thing I didn't know was to update the Handbrake Presets! I was using an old tweaked ATV I got from here last year, apparently the ATV preset is better! well thats what a reply I had on the handbrake forums said..just trying it today.

This time around you probably chose "Add Shared iTunes Library" rather than "Connect to iTunes" in the Settings/Computers panel of your Apple TV.

To fix this, select your library name from that list, click on "Disconnect" from the menu, then go back and choose "Connect to iTunes" on the Settings/Computers page.

You star thanks for this, yea the ATV still had a a greyed out old iTunes connection as the new iMac has the same name as I had used the migration app to the new iMac, so there was no option for connect to Itunes until I deleted it!
So one to watch out for new Mac owners..
