my MBP has arrived, i havent had a chance to do too much with it. Just did my color set up, did my software updates, and checked for things like the lid closing, the screen for yellow tints, and the kernal attacks after the update to 10.4.10.

Im happy to say that everything is working perfect! For anyone (like me) who was worried about how their MBP would be after reading some of the problems people have unfortunately had on here, I can say that not every one has problems. Mine turned out to be perfect!

Thanks all.

*Edit... darn typo... I meant MBP not MPB... must be a typo from being so excited to finally have it here!*

Good for you!

How about the LED panel? Is it a Samsung or LG?

Since you got the glossy, yellow tint problem should not be as obvious as matte one if it has the problem.

im taking the exact same machine next week(they said it will be available in the store >_> i hope!)a macbook pro 2.2ghz glossy screen =D..
its good to hear that you do not have problems with it..i wish i wont have any aswell....so how is it running so far? fast enough?? how good is the glossy screen ?

Hi, sorry for the late delay, we had company last night and i just got back to the mbp this morning.

I dont know how to tell who made the display, im going to read through the boards here to find out and I will get back to you.

I got the large power brick.

No yellow miscoloration at all.

Everything so far is working perfect. The only thing I would like to do is up the ram to 4 gig, but i wasnt going to do that through Apple, i will be doing that 3rd party. But at the same time, 2 gigs of ram is awesome, incase anyone was wondering. I just want to juice this baby up now while the prices are low on ram as this system is gonna have to do me for a while.

Cheers

Langille, that's great to hear! I was starting to worry about MBP that is on order. No Kernel panics at all? I hope mine turns out as well as yours.

Hi None Such

Nope, not one kernal panic at all, and i have updated to 10.4.10 and i am running wireless, (using a d-link wireless router). I am totally happy with my purchase and would recommend a macbook pro to anyone. I too was worried that i would end up with one with problems (so I understand your concern) so I am here to put your mind at ease... odds are you'll have a great system and go out and enjoy it!

That's awesome! I'm glad yours turned out so well. I'm not as bummed out as I was a little while ago. I guess everyone with problems posts, but not everyone that has a great experience does. It's just good to see someone post about not having the problems.

I don't know it's not working for me, there's nowhere that says "buy" or "proceed to checkout", oh well, good thing I already bought mine

I saw that. There was no option to select any of different Macbook Pro models. But it's fixed now.
