i run my little brother's school website and the district has a pretty set way of doing things with their websites, such as disabling FTP to the server.
So, i was given these instructions on how to use the server, but on a Windows machine.

1. Open My Network Places
2. Open Add a Network Place
3. Follow the steps in the wizard – adding the URL in the appropriate field.
4. Add the Username/Password when prompted.

well, this was working fine until my mom's Windows computer crashed and hasn't been able to get a new one. I'm currently looking into a MacBook or Mac Mini (for bootcamp),(i have an iBook) but i needed a quick fix for this problem.

So, i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to emulate these steps on my Mac.

I've tried the Go>Connect to Server, typed in the full http://www.district.org/es/school_name/ address method, but theres no way (that I can tell) to enter the username/password for me to be able to publish content onto the server.

Any help would be appreciated
