My daughter's first cell service was from Xfinity Mobile. Since then, even after changing to a different carrier (twice) and chaning phones (also twice) the XFINITY WIFI SSID still remains under My Networks. Any idea how to pernamently remove it? I have already disable auto-join but it bothers me that something so stubbornly keeps following her.

EDIT: Settings > General > VPN & Device Management is blank and there is no XFINITY profile.

The XFINITY SSID is a good thing to have, unless you are no longer a Comcast/Xfinity customer. It gives you access to free, secured Comcast Wi-Fi outside the home. I have the same XFINITY network under "My Networks," too (when I'm in range of an Xfinity hotspot) and I've never used Xfinity Mobile.

If you really want to get rid of it, you should remove the certificate:
Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > XFINITY WiFi > Remove Profile

But I think that would be mistake.

I appreciate the response. I forgot to add that XFINITY WIFI profile does not exist under VPN & Device Management setting, so we have nothing to remove, yet the XFINITY SSID still lives under My Networks

Tap on the 'I' net to the network name (the SSID). Tap 'Forget this Network'.

Try erasing your network settings. Tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Keep in mind this will remove all your Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

I am sorry to revive the old thread but the XFINITY is still being stuck on my daughter's phone. Anyone knows a way to permanently delete that? Does iOS16 offer more controls over SSIDs etc?
