I am a runner and I run without taking my iPhone using only my 4th gen Apple Watch to record my runs and provide music. I have several playlists on Apple Music downloaded to my watch and use Bluetooth earbuds. I had been using Bose Soundsports but now I want to try out my new AirPods Pro for my run tomorrow. However, when testing them out today, the music plays for about 4 seconds and then I don’t hear anything. The circle showing the progress of the song keeps moving and my Apple Watch still shows the connection to the AirPods Pro as active but no sound. I have tried turning off my iPhone to make sure that the connection isn’t jumping to the iPhone and I have also reset my Apple Watch. Neither has solved the problem.

is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any ide what I should try next?

Then try the reboot the Watch. Sometimes, the music app has an hiccup if the watch switching from BT to LTE. If i make a training outside with may watch, I always disable BT on my Iphone before (the real one in the settings app).

I have this very same problem with brand new Airpod Pros! (But I've never had this problem with my Bose QC30)

The first time, I un-paired and re-paired and that fixed it...for a day.

The next day the problem happened again. Re-pairing didn't fix it. I had to reboot the Watch and the iPhone. And now it's fixed. But for how long?

Anyone else have any more information about this weirdness?

I also had a problem where high pitched tone screamed randomly from the right earbud. Too many weird problems in the first 10 days. I returned them as defective and got a new pair. So, far they’ve been mostly problem free.
