My New Business Site - critique

I've always liked the knowledge base of the MR readers, so my new business site is in your trusted hands! :)
I tried to go for an easily navigated, somewhat "sterile" look... hints of color that highlight the product (whenever that's done) and not the site itself.
Please, be blunt? (Okay, not TOO blunt!)

colours to higlight the product are a good idea, but the grey makes it look, to me, like a windows 3.1 programme.

the animated GIF doesn't look great because of the colour limitation. maybe transitioning the graphics through flash, just to make them look better, may be an idea.

link 7 (free stuff) doesn't work. if a link hasn't been implemented on a live site, in my view, it should (preferably) not be there, but if it needs to be, it should have a link to a coming soon page, for example.

on a 1024x768 screen (ibook, PB12, and possibly affecting the MB too because of resolution height), you can't see the links at the bottom. this isn't entirely needed, but is the only explanation of the links 1-7, which should then be described somehow.

the site has a title of "selection2"...

download and buy links aren't, um, linked...

maybe the information on your 'purchase' page should be shown on the front page, so users know that it's not entirely finished - otherwise they may leave and not come back!

We're a month or two way from making the site available... this is up merely for, well, folks like you!
 
I hate the idea of clicking a number a not knowing what you are going to get.

Why try and reinvent the wheel?

There are plenty of text based menus becuase they work and people are familiar with them. People like conventions because it speeds things up.

I'm actually trying to come up with a different way to navigate... Not sure if they'll stay. I may "text" them with a simple rollover... or something else. I resized the main image so now the bottom links will easily appear on a smaller monitor. Shame on me for forgetting that!

generally the navigation for a site is at the top, that way if someone has a smaller resolution screen they can see it right away. on my 15" powerbook the navigation is "below the fold", meaning i have to scroll down to see it.

YIKES. I made some changes again... that would be easy to fix. Thanks.
 
reflections are horrible. you should not capitalize small caps - its bad typography (even tho everyone does it). you should also track out the small caps to give more space between the letters to make it easier to read.
 
I would also suggest cleaning up the look of the Support & Contact forms. They are distinctly different from the rest of the look of the site and have the appearance of being made quickly on some form sheet. Should be a fairly easy fix and hoepfully improve the overall look.

I know, but the good news is that I started the business in 2005... so in a way I was ahead of my time!
I've made a lot of changes to the site... but am spending most of my time on the actual product.
Thank you... I will seriously consider a re-design once again.
