My iMac arrived! I must say that it has exceeded my expectations. I've had laptops for the past five years, a powerbook G4, and then most recently (gasp) an acer, so having a desktop system and being back on OS X is quite a nice change. I'm wondering how I went two years without a Mac.

My iMac plays fullscreen HD quicktime movies without a hitch, and I can run so many more apps at the same time. The display is great, I thought that the glossy screen might be an issue, but it isn't, I might even like it more than matte displays, I'm not sure yet.

I used to work at a PC computer store, and built my own desktop, this was nine years ago, so I had been opposed to an all-in-one system like the iMac, and preferred a fully upgradable desktop, if I was going to get a desktop. However, I really like the lack of cable clutter and the ease of setup and overall look iMac.

The one issue I've had, is that the keyboard that came with my mac is slightly bent. I'm hoping that I can return just the keyboard for a replacement. The keyboard works fine, and I like the design, but I expect it to be in pristine condition.

Overall I say well done Apple!

Congrats, is your number pad bent? If so I had the same problem and they just sent me a new keyboard and I sent mine back, pretty simple :)

Welcome back to the club! I'm sure Apple would swap out the keyboard for you. They're support is pretty good.

Nice, and congrats on the new iMac.

I want to get a new one, as mine is starting to show signs of aging. I have a PowerPC iMac G5 with iSight. It still does most things decently, but I will be in the market for a new one, maybe around the holidays.

One of the biggest reasons is I need to be able to play StarCraft II when it comes out, and I am doubting my iMac's ability to be able to play it.

So, which one did you get, anyway?

Congratulations! I also just joined the dark side with a purchase of a 20" iMac and I love it! I'm transitioning over from Windoz XP and I have it loaded on a second partition. So far I'm very pleased with my new toy! :D

Congratulations! I've recently became a :apple: switcher about 6 months ago and I don't know what it would be like without it! Good luck.

Yup, it was bent upward by the number pad. All the keys worked fine though.

I went to the Apple Store today and they are ordering a new keyboard and will swap it for the defective one.

20" 2.66Ghz, 2GB memory, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, 256 MB mem, bto 500GB HD.

WTF no unboxing vid or pictures lol.:)

I actually thought about doing that , but I was so excited to use my new machine that I didn't.

Congrats...I just picked the same one up for my college bound son (save it has the 320 gb HD) but unfortunately this one keeps freezing up and is running too hot it seems...AppleCare is working on it though...

I love my g5 Power PC so that was why I got the iMac for my son. I just hope it ens up working out ok.
