In Hell
Ordered a new iMac i7 on Thursday, tracked it via the TNT website, arrived here in Sydney on Sunday and was delivered to "Paul" this morning at 7:23.

Hope he's enjoying my iMac.

I've called Apple and there going to question TNT and get back to me on Wednesday.

Has this happened to anyone one else, what happens now if they can't find my iMac?

I've ordered hundreds of things over the net and never had anything go missing before. It had to be the most expensive thing I've ordered over the net that goes missing

Since you did not sign for it at your address Apple will likely ship you a new one. What I wonder is why Wednesday? Isn't it Monday there or do I have that wrong? I'd want one sent over night and let Apple deal with TNT themselves for their dumbass error.

The girl at Apple said they call TNT and they do a warehouse sweep and investigation. My guess is they hope like hell someone calls up and says they have received a package that's not for them.

I work in a freight department and sometimes get other peoples packages here where I work. I usually just give them back to the courier the next day when he come through on his run.

Fingers crossed.

Sorry but I typically don't sign for a large package unless I was actually expecting it. Either way, I believe Apple will send you a new one asap.

imagine "Paul"'s face when the delievery man woke him up early this morning to give him a free $2000 computer.

They've got the correct suburb on the tracking number so I assume it's correct.

Actually when I think about it I ordered a photo book from Apple for a Xmas present and that went missing as well, they shipped me a new one.

So that's 2 things missing from Apple.

TNT is the worst freight company sometimes we have 3 different couriers deliver stuff here in the same day, talk about inefficent.

Especially one not addressed to you!

TNT doesn't service where I live, so the tracking page will always finish with something like "transferred to other carrier". It never lists which carrier or what the new tracking number is. So frustrating!

I'd leave it with Paul until he's been through the three or four returns that will be needed before a perfect unit shows up. Only THEN should you reclaim it.

If the iMac has a yellow tinged screen, I'm sure that Paul won't mind too much.

iMac just arrived, looks sweet, can't wait to get it home. Hopefully I'll see a couple less beach balls with this baby. I'm replacing a 2Ghz 17" Core Duo lovingly nicknamed "The Slug".

Thanks Paul whoever you are for being an honest dude. Now I don't have to wait for another from China.

4 Days delivery from the factory, can't complain about that.

Could this be Pauls face??
