I have just bought a new M1 12.9” iPad Pro and, using Coconut Battery on my Mac I checked out the battery health on my new device - see screenshots below. This shows the battery was manufactured in 2012! It is showing 100% battery health which is good. However I wondered if this is normal. Does anyone have a similar experience with a new device?

I checked the 2019 iPad Pro it replaced and its battery was manufactured in 2018.

Should I be concerned?

Him, three years prior to the first ever Pro hitting the market? And only seen on a third party battery tool? I’d expect this to be a bug.

Coconut battery hasn’t been properly updated for a while for newer macOS. For example the mac battery health is 10% worse according to coconut battery.

As such, I consider that one a bug.

Same here. It’s a bug, don’t worry. My battery health is pretty good, 101% after 10 months.
