as soon as you hear the start chime hit the option key and hold it down until it gives you the option to boot to the Mac OS or the DVD.
Choose Mac OS

Hmm, when I installed Windows on my iMac, I thought the installation had frozen aswell, at 0%, yours may have really frozen, but after about 15mins, my installation percentage started to slowly creep up. Maybe give it another go sometime? and wait, could work :)

I think this may be due to slow optical drives in the latest revision of the iMac, with Rip-Lock.

Same here. I was at 0.0% for a very long time on my MB, but eventually it started to install.

when i installed it on mine it hung at 0 percent for like 5-10 min and then it started slowly going up give it more time...if it doesnt work hold the mouse button after you hear the startup bong that will eject the disk
