So as some of you know I ordered my New Mac Mini last night, and got the email today that it was shipping! Yay!:D

So I decided its time to order the 4gb and a monitor...:(

Lol... you all are bastards.... The Crucial memory on newegg and on Crucials site is SOLD OUT! I knew I shouldn't have procrastinated but damn...

Does anyone know where I can get 4GB of ram under $60?

To top it off the monitor I mentioned yesterday that was listed at $259 is now $279! Damn NewEgg!

I did find this Acer 23" LCD - $219 and ordered it though, it has built in speakers which will save me from buying some cheap crappy ones to attach to my mini.

I gotta say, for a company that makes some awful laptops, Acer sure makes a sexy display...

congrats on your purchases:)

I just read all of those buttons are touch too! Now its even sexier, I hate old fashioned push buttons!

That does look like a pretty cool monitor, if I had the money I'd get one, but I don't really need it (but I want it!)

As far as the RAM goes, is it the same type as the new unibody MacBooks? if so you can get 4GB for $64 (I know you said for under $60 but that's not too far off and I'm not sure how impatient you are) from OWC, but you have to look for it through the MacBooks memory as they don't have it listed for the Mac Mini yet.

EDIT: Link

Unfortunately, the ram you mentioned doesn't include the ship price, the new egg was free, when I configured this one it came to $70, the newegg Crucial memory was $52.99

Are the buttons backlight? Otherwise, touch buttons aren't what they are cracked up to be. My Samsung monitor has touch buttons, and they irritate me senseless.

Don't know yet I'll give a full review when it ships to me! For $219 for 23" 1080p, you can't beat it! Plus it's sexy Black!

You do realize that the speakers built into the monitor are "cheap crappy speakers" right? Don't expect high quality sound from it.

Other than that, nice looking display.

I will second this, I have a couple of ACER 22" displays. One has built-in speakers and they are a huge waste. Pony up some scratch for some real speakers.
