Just want to add my MBP to the list of those who have as perfect a MBP as can be expected: no yellow, no obvious defects in build quality, no dead pixels, no excessive heat.....it's all good.

Only issue has been that my superdrive came pre-set to region 6 which robbed me of one of my limited region switches.

Trying to balance my own earlier complaints about previous MBPs I had.

Was it a refurbished MBP? Odd that it came with the drive set to region 6...

Since he's talking about no yellowing of the screen, it'd be safe to say he's got a brand spankin new SR Macbook Pro(2.2-2.4GHz). With that said, they're too new as of yet to appear in the refurbished store.

Compared to others, that's a pretty damn silly complaint. Do you actually change the region 4 more times that you need that extra one? Or is it just the principle?

But not so odd, region 6 is China, isn't that where they're manufactured? Maybe you got a drive that's seen prior use.

Well, it may be a minor complaint, and right now it's more principle, but it's not a silly one. I do move around quite a bit and although I've never had a problem with the stupid restrictions before because I normally upgrade before that happens, 3 times is worse than 4 times . Besides, you got your max number of switches, why shouldn't I ? We both paid the same amount. it's just Apple being sloppy again.

It's not like I'm going to send it back for this, but I'll document it with Apple so that if I get to a time when I actually need/want that last change, they will help me. Whatever! It's not a huge deal, you're right. But it's not silly either. ha!

Brand new. Arrived in the U.S. on July 18 directly from Shanghai.
