I have actualy had this side for a month or 2, but i have just now got it to the point were i really like it.

its basicaly a web profile that links my twitter, last.fm, flickr, and more...

please tell me what you think, tell me about bugs, and if you think i should add anything...

http://duhood.com/

thanks!!:D

That's WP eh? Only thing that caught me was the horizontal scrolling in FF...

Code:
* {
	padding: 0;
	margin: 0;
	}

Is causing it seems.

Looks ok to me, but you should change the blue text on black blackground at the top of the site to another colour which isn't that hard to read.

Overall, it's quite nice. Some points,

  • The links at the very top left; I would increase the font size and create a rollover effect, possibly change font color to yellow.
  • The links on the right could use just a smudge more contrast or be larger.
  • The "Published at .." text needs a lot more contrast.
  • CSS validator had 2 errors; "File not foundhttp://duhood.com/wp-content/themes/K2 v096/style.css: Bad Request" and "File not foundhttp://duhood.com/wp-content/themes/K2 v096/css/print.css: Bad Request" which is caused by there being space in the URL you supply "...K2 v096...".
  • It was unexpected to be taken to Flickr when I clicked on the images at the top. People generally don't like being thrown to another site unexpectedly like that. Maybe those could link to your pictures page and show the one they clicked on
  • I like your color scheme, very calming, and I dig your artwork.
  • Accessibility seems to be very good too. Handles text increases well and disabling of images leaves you with all the main content since you used the alt attribute.

Jolly good.

i made the text in the manu a tad larger, fixed the css error, changed the "published at" color, and made the bg color for the bar on top lighter.

as for linking my pictures to fickr.com, im not sure how i can change that. im using the flickrRSS plugin for wordpress to set it up. if you can tell me how maybe make a pop up that tells people that they are leaving the site that would be cool, but i dont know how i would change anything otherwise.

thanks for the replies, everybody!:D

Only thing it seems to be lacking is content. the big why!
sorry if i appear to be rude, but what is your point? i don't know why i should revisit this site:rolleyes:

Another WordPress template?

What kind of feedback are you actually looking for?

The color scheme is awful, browns and different shades of blue? Try to pick a palette of complementary colors and keep it consistent.

Its all very uninspired, nothing worth noting. Its a blog, what can one say that hasnt been said of all?

I don't use or visit Flickr or WordPress so not sure how much flexibility you have.

One idea that comes to mind; You could add an image to the left of those images of the word Flicker written vertically (or use a Flickr logo). Putting it on the right side could also work OK. That's the first idea that comes to mind. Another idea might be to have a small image for each of those images that stays hidden until the visitor hovers over it and have it show up in a corner position. What that small image is, i up to you; maybe a small Flickr logo, an arrow (like Wikipedia uses to show the link goes off site), etc.

You'll never get everyone to like your color scheme, but I still like it. I like earth tones. My bed has dark brown and blue and looks fine to me.

If you're looking to spice the look up a little you could try some textured background images rather than flat colors (referring to the body background), like using a sand texture, nothing too big that would slow down load time either. Though it look fine as is, just giving you options.
