Well, here she be....my first apple computer. Nothing fancy just the MB 1.83Ghz. 13in. Had a few questions as a mac newbie:
is there any must have software or accessories
a good bluetooth mouse so I don't have to have this dongle on my wireless one

gotta figure out what program i can use to resize my picture of it so i can post it up!

Congratsss =D
i dont have a mac but i read like MANY mouses reviews and im like mouses collector XD...bluetooth mouses always have weaker signal and limited features...Logitech 270 is great...Apple MightyMouse got good functions but too much problems especially with the scrool-all mac users i know face that-...i would recommend waiting a little bit for Logitech VX nano..it have a very tiny dongle that you put in your usb and forget it and has lots of features..

software wise, id recommend quicksilver (google it). it takes some time getting used to it, but i cant live without it now. other than that, have fun and congrats!

Judging by the reviews I've read, the three best choices are the Mighty Mouse, the Logitech v270 and the BT600 from RadTech. I personally just ordered the BT600, should be here before the end of the week. I just needed more buttons than the standard two.

I haven't even touched the surface of QS, and I LOVE IT! I really should read up on how to use it fully.

cool cool. Thanks for the input. I'm downloading quicksilver right now. I like the 'coolness' of the look of the mighty mouse....you know how its touch sensitive. but if I get a mouse, it definately can't have a dongle, sick of anything but the powercord sticking out of this book.

So quicksilver you just type in the program or website you wanna open and hit enter and it pretty much does it for you right? Seems like a pretty simple yet time saving app. Anyone have a good photo editor app, or know of one??? Just something to resize, crop, touch up, you know the usual stuff.....

I have the Logitech v270 mouse. It is bluetooth so you dont have to worry about dongles (that is why I got it). It is very reliable and did not have to install any drivers.

I am very satisfied with the quality, feel, looks and size. Since it is silver, it matches my MBP perfeclty, but if you want to match your white MB, I would suggest the apple mouse since I dont think they make these white.

i can't really tell online, but does the v270 have additional buttons besides the left and right clicks?

I would wait for at least for another week or so for the mouse, since apple is releasing or supposedly releasing a new keyboard which could also mean a new mouse.

On Software, I would recommend downloading FireFox. Safari crashes too much on day to day sites. Are you into computer games or graphic editing or anything?
