This Macbook a few years ago had a damaged AMD GPU (white screen). After reading a long topic on this forum, I soldered one small resistor from the power circuit of the AMD GPU section. The unpowered GPU didn't work, of course, but I was able to choose an alternative Intel HD3000 GPU integrated in the Intel i7 processor. And somehow it worked.
Today I craved to install a second system (Monterey with OCLP) alongside High Sierra. Basically everything worked except WiFi (the WiFi network list was always empty). I read reviews that in such a situation, among other things, a PRAM reset can help. I performed this reset and since then I have (unfortunately) a black screen.
My guess is that the standard PRAM content was restored, where the image is directed to the AMD GPU (which is physically disabled in my case). I can boot the system, I can hear a confirmation in the speaker when I press the [Enter] key, but I can't see anything. Neither [Option] during startup nor [Cmd]+[R] helps.
Can someone help me bring this old notebook back to life?
