My Original Leather Band Just Randomly Peeled Off?

Has this happened to anyone else? Was at the security line at an airport and after taking it out of the tray i noticed that the leather got loose.

Pretty ironic for this to happen on a original 160 Euro band while my chinese 8 Euro knock offs never have had this happen ...

If weather gets wet and/or has excessive wear over time, it can start to degrade or peel. I wouldn't necessarily say it's uncommon.

I dunno. In my experience, Apple leather products are just quite bad and certainly not durable. But I know others have had different experiences.
