I ended up returning two size 10 solo loop bands (black and green). I loved them - they felt great and fit just right on my wrists. They were my new favorite bands. I measured a 9.5 on the measuring tape and was glad I had a size 10. A smaller size would be too small. But for some reason, both bands were irritating my skin when I wore them - almost like an alergic reaction - on both of my wrists. That’s never happened to me before. Bummer.

So I returned them both to the Apple Store and tried on a Size 10 braided solo loop. It was clearly bigger and too loose on my wrist. I tried on a size 9 braided solo loop and it fit just right. After two days of wearing it, it still fits just right and is even more comfortable than the regular solo loop for me.

So based on my very limited experience, the braided solo loop runs a size larger than the silicone solo loop bands. Your mileage may vary. $100 for just a stretchy band - holy crap. But I love it anyway. :)

You like had a reaction because it’s a different material than the sport band. It’s silicone instead of fluoroelastomer.

For me I think the main factors for size difference for a good fit, is the friction on the Solo Loop compared to the Braided. The Solo stays put better, when the Braided slides around. I want my watch to stay put and not move, so wear my bands tight

I got a braided solo loop shortly after the new watch came out; I'm a size 12, and it fits just right, not too tight, not too loose. I just got the rubber solo loop, and it is definitely a half size smaller; if I put the two next to each other on a flat surface it's obvious. It's possible that the braided loop has stretched a tiny bit, but it doesn't feel any looser than when I got it. As much as I like the idea, I'd rather have a band that's just a tad loose so it doesn't accumulate sweat under it. I'll be returning the rubber one.

I rcv'd my blue braided loop last week after waiting at least a month. It is too large. I returned it. bummer cuz it was a cool band. It was a size 12 and I measured carefully. I rarely find anything that is too large for me. lol
