I think, this could reflect why iOS 11 is laggy on many people’s devices. I forgot to take a test in iOS 11 beta 1 though.

Mine's about 3000/5000 too. Something's definitely wrong in OP's device.
Well, I can admit, and real world use is not hindered much. But seeing this score is still, not feeling well.
Thanks to the walled garden, I have no clue what is going on and find a way to fix the issue. All I can do is repeatedly restart device or do hard reset or force kill all apps using that "pressing home button 10s after seeing shut down screen" trick. (I solve a recent mail app freeze by doing so)

Try charging it up and test again, see if it makes a difference?
This. Definitely charge before doing benchmarks. iOS has been known to throttle on low battery to preserve battery life.

EDIT: To add on, this behaviour also sometimes causes the battery level to jump back up by 1% or so.

without question it is beta related. IOS 11 was running pretty terrible on my SE, so I went back to IOS 10. I have no doubt by release it will be buttery smooth. BEEETTTTAAAA

By release of ~11.3 the iPhone 8 will be butter smooth. That's about the best prediction I'll commit to.

there is runaway broken processes in beta 2, they are also the cause of warm devices & battery drain. so the device isnt even getting full cpu cycles when it wants them

i think itll probably be fixed in beta 3, but now apple is feeling like taking 3 weeks to give it out for some reason.. if they keep up this schedule they're going to have to pull devs from the mac dev team into ios so it releases on time again like in ios 7..

True, beta 2 is usually a bit better than beta 1 but there doesn't seem to be much difference this time. Beta 3 is where things should start really improving but Apple is taking their time.

i thought things started improving after beta 4? either way beta 3 still seems a little too early for things to look significantly better in just 2-3 weeks.

Beta 4 is usually where it starts getting somewhat stable. Still beta 3 shouldn't be as bad as the first one, I feel like 2 is still pretty similar to 1 so hopefully there's a bit of a leap. This is a public beta as well so hopefully they're working to smooth it out.

I am not sure if I even use iPhone 6s Plus. I feel like I am using iPhone 5s.
Also, lags, stutters, all over the place. How could this be even lower?
iOS 11 beta 3.

Remember that beta version collects some more diagnostics and debug data. And combined with some processes which are broken or buggy it quickly will cause such issues.

Ok after a restart, back to normal (previous beta) level.
No overheat. No hot device. Just slow. Wish next beta could significantly improve the overall performance.
